Lyrics

EasyPerformer displays lyrics alongside your music, so you never lose your place on stage. You can type lyrics directly in the app or import existing files, add chords, and show everything in fullscreen or on an external display.

Adding lyrics to a track

1. Enter Edit mode and tap the pad you want to open Track Actions.
2. On the first tab, Media, tap the Edit Lyrics button.

This opens the lyrics editor, where you can type, paste or import the lyrics for that track.

Importing TXT and LRC files

Instead of typing, you can import lyrics from files:

• TXT: plain text lyrics. Since a TXT file contains no timing information, you need to set the position of each line within the track manually after importing.
• LRC: lyrics with timestamps. The lines are synced to the music and highlighted automatically as the track plays.

EasyPerformer currently only works with lyrics lines that are set on a position within the track, so every line needs a position before it can be displayed during playback.

You can also send lyrics files to the app via import.easyperformer.com, the same way you import audio and video. Once connected, open the Edit Lyrics screen for the track in the app, then drag a TXT or LRC file into the drag and drop field on the website. The lyrics are imported directly into the lyrics editor.

Chords

You can add chords to your lyrics, so guitarists and other band members can follow the harmony while performing.

In the lyrics editor, tap the Add chord button and [] tags are inserted in the text. Put the chord between those tags, for example [Am]. You can also type the [] tags manually.

Colors

Lyrics support colors, which you can use to highlight sections, mark cues, or separate vocal parts. You can set the color of the lyrics line and the chord line separately, so the chords stand out clearly from the words.

Displaying lyrics

While a track plays, its lyrics are shown on screen. A few ways they can appear:

• Above the pads: the default. Lyrics are automatically displayed above your pads while the track plays. You can disable this by tapping the pink eye icon at the top of the screen on tablets, or via the menu button on mobile.
• Fullscreen: show the lyrics fullscreen for maximum readability on stage.
• External display: connect a second screen and show the lyrics there, for example for the whole band. See External displays for details.

There is also a Multiline preview setting: enable it in the settings to see the next lyrics line in advance.

If a pad contains video or visuals as well as lyrics, the Display Preview option on the pad decides what takes priority on screen.
