Trimming
Cut intros and outros from your audio and video tracks, without external editing software.
EasyPerformer lets you trim your tracks directly in the app, so you do not need external editing software to prepare them. Cut a long intro, skip the outro, or keep just the section you need for your show. Trimming is available for audio and video files.
Opening the trim page
- Enter Edit mode and tap the pad you want to trim to open Track Actions.
- On the first tab, Media, tap Trim audio or Trim video, depending on the file in the pad.
The trim page looks slightly different for audio and video files.
Trim audio
The audio trim page shows a large waveform slider that you can slide through. Move to the position where the track should begin and tap Set start. Then move to where it should stop and tap Set end.
Trim video
The video trim page shows a video preview. Drag the yellow handles towards each other to set the start and the end of the video.
Trim type: Pad or File
Both trim pages have a Trim type option that determines where your trim is saved:
- Pad: the trim is saved with the pad. The original file stays untouched, so the same file plays in full in any other pad, and you can adjust or remove the trim at any time.
- File: a Trim file button appears. Tap it and you are asked to either create a new trimmed file or overwrite the file you are trimming.
When you overwrite a file, the original cannot be recovered. If you want to keep the full-length version, choose to create a new file instead.
