Appearance
The Appearance options control how a pad looks on your grid. On a dark stage, a clear visual layout makes all the difference: a good name, a recognizable color and a readable font size help you find every song instantly.
Opening the Appearance tab
- Enter Edit mode and tap the pad you want to configure to open Track Actions.
- Navigate to the third tab, Appearance.
Pad name
Here you can edit the name of the pad. Even an empty pad can be given a name, which is handy when you are sketching out a set before the files are ready.
When the pad contains a file, you rename the pad, not the file itself. The file keeps its original name in the file manager.
If the MIDI Plugin is enabled and a pad contains only MIDI commands and no files, you can enter a name here as well, to give the command(s) a clear label on your grid.
Pad color
The second section lets you give the pad a color: blue, red, orange, green, purple, or no color. Use colors to group songs by set, mark ballads versus uptempo songs, or highlight the tracks that need extra attention.
When a color is selected, a small color dot appears on the pad. If you want the color to stand out more, enable Bigger colors in the in-app settings, under the Pads section.
Font size
The third section controls the font size of the pad title. Make the text of a specific pad bigger, for example so you can read it from a distance, or smaller so a long title fits neatly.
