Visuals
Visuals let you attach PDFs and images to a track and show them at specific points in the timeline. While you perform, they appear on screen automatically at the moment you set. Perfect for chord charts, sheet music, or any visual cue you need during a gig.
Adding visuals to a track
- Enter Edit mode and tap the pad you want to open Track Actions.
- On the first tab, Media, tap the Configure visuals button.
At the bottom of the page you will see a row with the Add visual label. Tap it and select one of your imported PDFs or images. This file picker is separate from your tracks, so you import your PDFs and images here on their own and they will not get mixed up with your audio and video files. Once imported, tap any of the PDFs or images and the file is placed in the timeline.
Editing a visual in the timeline
Tap the visual card to edit it. Drag the ends of the card left and right to adjust the position, so the visual appears and disappears exactly when you want.
You can also hold down on the card at a specific position within the timeline to open a few options:
- Set start or set end: place the start or end of the visual at that exact position.
- Select PDF Page: switch the page that is shown. This option is only available when the visual is a PDF with multiple pages.
- Delete visual: delete the visual from the timeline.
Combining visuals with lyrics
A powerful combination: configure lyrics for most of a track, and add a PDF in the Visuals screen for the section where you need it. The app switches to the PDF automatically at that moment, and back again after.
This automatic switching works when all the Display Preview switches on the pad are off.
Visuals on an external display
PDFs and images can be mirrored to a connected external display, so your audience or bandmates can follow along with the same chart.
